Texada – Near Shingle Beach

I was over at shingle beach on texada the other month and a friend of mine and I decided to take a walk down the beach.
We walked south down the beach for about 2 km when we came across items along the beach. We decided to go inland and see what there is there, first thing we came across is an old field and fencing. Walking further we stumbled across an old metal track then other debris like a mound of bottles, and metal and some old car shells, one with the engine still within. Further down we came across the scrap pile, old trucks and cars and engines, and all sorts of other things. There was a cabin further down which we were told later was abandon but never ventured near it. Old Homesteads are most times interesting as they can give years of detailed information on how those that lived there survived.
