The Crashed Vintage War Airplane, Powell River British Columbia

Soon I will be venturing out to see if I can find this one, its a recent story I have come across and in a location I have easy enough access too, so hopefully I will be coming back with pictures and video of it.

I have been told that in the early 1950’s that a War Airplane crashed here in Powell River,  the location is somewhere up Lois Lake and Horseshoe Lake area. The wreckage is known as apparently it has a large X sprayed on it which I assume identifies it as a known airplane crash. Years back when I was 10 I heard about a plane that crashed here, although I was told it crashed at or near the head of Haslam Lake, I am betting that this is the same one should it actually exist. Wish me luck on finding this one.
